Replica Daggers - 1st Century B.C. Roman Dagger
Roman soldiers were given equipment upon joining a legion, and would have likely been given a dagger of this type. This replica is based on models used in the 1st century B.C., the century in which Julius Caesar conquered Gaul. Of interest is the scabbard decoration of Romulus and Remus being nursed by a wolf. The metal handle of this dagger features finely engraved eagle, lion and wolf figures. It has a metal blade.
