Deluxe Marshal of Deadwood Badge

This is an authentic western badge for the position of "Marshal of Deadwood", which refers to the boom camp of Deadwood, South Dakota which needed to establish law and order. Wild Bill Hickok's death August 5, 1873 triggered a demand for more law and order in the Dakota territory, and resulted in Seth Bullock's appointment as the first Sheriff of Deadwood. He quickly appointed several able, fearless deputies and before long order had settled upon Deadwood. During 1884, Bullock then became a deputy U. S. Marshal in western Dakota Territory.
