Texas Marshall Pecos
The western badge here represents the first badges worn by the Marshal of Pecos Texas around the 1900's, that were originally made from Mexican Peso Coins at their request. Some were probably made by jewelers, others may have been made by gunsmiths or metal workers. The legend of the lawmen cutting them out of coins around campfires is highly unlikely however. The rear of the western badge shows the Peso coin design.
These western badges feature heavy silver-plated brass construction with solidly mounted spring pins. Our historically correct western badges are Great for the Western re-enactor, collector of Western memorabilia or decorator
