CSA Officer's Sword With Scabbard

As all Civil War swords, they were more effective during the early years of the war and as new modern weapons such as breech-loaders, repeating rifles and machine guns were introduced the sword became less effective and could only be used in close battles.

This handsome Civil War Confederate Officer's Sabre has a 36" curved carbon steel blade (it can be sharpened), brass hilt with brown leather and a brass wire wrapped handle. CSA is stamped on the blade and comes with steel scabbard with brass fittings. It was a favorite sword of the Confederate Officer's.
