Civil War Swords - 1832 U.S. Artillery Short
As all swords used during the Civil War, they were more effective during the early years of the war and as new modern weapons such as breech-loaders, repeating rifles and machine guns were introduced the sword became less effective and could only be used in close battles.
M1832 Artillery Short Sword. Brass hilt and crossguard with embossed eagle on pommel. Carbon steel blade has blood groove. Leather scabbard.
